We are proud to announce that Deutsche Bahn has been recognised with the prestigious DB InfraGO Innovation Award in the Technical Innovation category for it’s Remote Point Control solution (Elektrische Weichenkurbel), enabled by Dual Inventive’s RSS 3000 PC and MTinfo 3000 technologies.
During the generic renewal of mainline infrastructure (Generalsanierung Hochleistungsnetz), point machines are disconnected from power during engineering works, requiring points to be operated manually. This traditional process can be time-consuming, introduces additional operational steps, and increases the potential for human error.
Working closely with Deutsche Bahn, Dual Inventive demonstrated how the RSS 3000 PC can transform this process. Through a click of a button via MTinfo 3000, points can be operated remotely, enabling maintenance activities to be carried out more safely, efficiently, and in a controlled environment, all within seconds.
This achievement is the result of more than two and a half years of close collaboration between Dual Inventive and Deutsche Bahn, bringing together operational expertise, technical innovation, and a shared commitment to improving rail safety and efficiency.
Throughout the project, both organisations worked together to ensure the RSS 3000 PC delivered a solution capable of meeting the evolvingdemands of modern railway infrastructure. The result is a technology that not only simplifies operations but also enhances safety by reducing the need for manual intervention in challenging working environments.
