Overview: Welcome to the latest release of our software! This update adds a new feature to MTinfo 3000 named “device roles”. This feature makes MTinfo 3000 more flexible in how we can support different use cases for our safety products. With it, we can show different switch screens to different users depending on how our safety products are configured, most notably the RSS 3000.
For existing users this feature should have little impact on the way MTinfo 3000 is used. The most notable changes can be found in the switch icon being changed to differentiate between different use cases, and several steps in the project design phase looking slightly different due to the addition of the device roles feature.

Introduced a new switch icon for the existing devices.

Added a device role icon to each protection zone to indicate the purpose of the protection zone in both the design and planning steps.
Added a new drop-down menu during the creation of protection zones to select the relevant device role. By default for all ZKL 3000 RC and RDI 3000 users, this will automatically select the proper role, “Blocking”, so no additional action is required.
Added the device’s role as a new column and slightly changed the screen when assigning devices to protection zones for better clarity.
