The Solar NRG 3000 Plus is a solar-powered charging system designed to keep our wireless safety devices running longer in the field.

By harnessing solar energy for rail equipment, this unit continuously recharges the batteries of devices like the ZKL 3000 RC, eliminating frequent manual battery changes meaning fewer visits.

In short, it provides an off-grid, sustainable power source for your trackside equipment, greatly extending your operational uptime.

01 Powering up

The Solar NRG Optimiser kit allows you to get the most from your solar panel, by converting more of the solar energy absorbed by the solar panel into the main battery of the ZKL 3000 RC – even on the days when it’s overcast or where there is an embankment with overgrown vegetation.Ā 

Optimising battery performance with sustainable energy sources will extend the operation time for increased efficiency.Ā Ā 

 

02 Improving safety

Using a solar panel to charge batteries our safety products reduce the need to enter the track environment to replace them, which benefits worker safety and reduces environmental impact. Ā 

03 Fixing

The solar panel can be mounted on a lineside catenary structure /Stanchion (or similar structure) or a free-standing mount pole. If this option is not feasible the BBX 3000 (ballast box) offers an ideal alternative, particularly in areas with underground cables and pipes near the track that could be at risk of damage from a pole installation.Ā Ā
