The Large Capacity Battery delivers up to three times the capacity of a standard battery ((270 Ah compared to the standard 90 Ah)and can provide up to six months of operation when used with a tandem cable and a second large capacity battery. Designed for locations where track access is challenging, including rural areas and complex junctions, it reduces the need for battery replacements and recharging, helping to improve operational efficiency and keep assets powered for longer.

External Battery

The ZKL 3000 RC comes with an internal back-up battery. By adding a main battery pack, you can greatly extend the device’s operating life. The main battery connects with our Solar NRG 3000 Plus panel to store harvested solar energy, keeping devices powered longer between manual recharges.

Solar NRG 3000 Plus Panel Upgrade Kit

This upgrade kit is designed to convert more of the solar energy absorbed by the solar panel into the main battery of the ZKL 3000 RC – even on days when it’s overcast or where there is an embankment with overgrown vegetation. The result is fewer battery changes and reduced trackside visits.
